Overview

Civil helicopters and small aircraft are crucial components of the transportation infrastructure that contribute to the development of the economy in many ways. The global demand for civil & military helicopters, as well as small aircraft has recorded a new high, which enhances the scope of this industry in a progressive nation like India.

In an initiative to expand the scope the Helicopter as well as Small Aircraft sector in the country, the Ministry of Civil Aviation, Government of India with the support of Government of Madhya Pradesh, Pawan Hans Ltd and FICCI is organizing the 5th Edition of 5th Helicopter & Small Aircraft Summit on Tuesday, 25th July 2023 in Khajuraho, Madhya Pradesh. The last edition was successfully held in Srinagar which witnessed various new announcements.

The broad objectives of the Summit are as follows:

1. Providing a common platform for all industry stakeholders, and policymakers to discuss the growth story of the Indian Helicopter and Small Aircraft industry.
2. Enhancing the scope of the UDAN Scheme in remote and hilly terrains and also expanding the rural to urban connectivity in the country.
3. Boost Helicopter & Small Aircraft tourism in places with existing are potential tourism hotspots providing uninterrupted services

Senior officials from the Ministry of Civil Aviation and stakeholders from the helicopter and small aircraft industry, including operators, OEMs, MRO providers, regulators, Financing & Leasing companies, and the representatives from different states government, will attend the summit. The forum offers a unique platform for exchanging ideas and fostering collaboration to advance the sector, with meaningful discussions aimed at improving the industry.
