FICCI to organize 'Frames Content Hub' in partnership with South Korea

NEW DELHI, 10 November 2021: FICCI jointly with Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA), an agency of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Govt. of South Korea is organizing 'Frames Content Hub' named as '2021 E-Korean TV Content market in India' on 11th-12th November 2021 virtually.

During the 2021 E-Korean TV Content market in India, FICCI and KOCCA are going to organize B2B meetings between with South Korean content seller and Indian content buyers virtually through FICCI's Bike platform. This will provide an opportunity to interact one to one with the Content sellers from Korea for TV and OTT. During the two-day event, 10 South Korean content sellers will be participating in the B2B meetings. The companies are offering contents for OTT, television, educational content, animation, documentary, and films produced in Korean Language. The Korean companies are also seeking for the co-production opportunity between the two countries since both the countries comes under co- production treaty.  

Mr Dilip Chenoy, Secretary General, FICCI said, "The present time is golden age for the South Korean content. South Korean culture pounced - offering the content that is more relatable than the content of other parts for Asian Population. The Korean Content offer a rich and pleasurable viewing. K-dramas also reflect worldwide social stresses that resonate with many younger generations. This event will create the co- opportunity between India and South Korea."  

Headquartered in Naju of Jeolla Province, Korea, KOCCA, is a Korean Government agency that oversees and coordinates the promotion of the Korean content industry. It was established in May 2009 by integrating five related organizations, including the Korean Broadcasting Institute, the Korea Culture & Content Agency, and the Korea Game Agency.

Ms Jeongok Kim, Team Director of The Korea Creative Content Agency said, "It is hoped that this event will lead to an increase in cultural cooperation between Korea and India centered on TV content."

The major sellers include KBS Media, MBC, SBS, SBS Contents Hub, EBS and JTBC Studios, which are leading the Korean Wave in the globe. 

KBS Media, famous for its original of U.S adaptation of (The Good Doctor) on ABC, had presented (My Fair Lady), a well-made drama, family oriented. The main themes of the story deal with the true meaning of family and power of love. The series shows the journey of a father-daughter duo who stand by each other through times of need. (My Fair Lady) will remind the viewers about the preciousness of family through a father who is not perfect but dearly takes care of his ill daughter.

The most popular Global Format from MBC is the Masked Singer. The format is the shiny-floor music show, which maintains its position as the Sunday prime time show at MBC, lasting for more than 6 years so far. Moreover, the format has travelled amazingly over 50 countries worldwide and been riding the best of all time.

(Running Man) of SBS, one of the longest-running and most beloved show in Korea which also became a global phenomenon with fans all around the world. 7 regular cast members and a number of guests, replaced each episode, are featured as the players, and take part in an upgraded version of hide-and-seek-slash-tag. The players need to tear off the nametags attached on each other's back. The one who keeps his or her name tag until the end of the game wins the throne.

The series (The Penthouse: War in Life) from SBS Contents Hub tells the story of a woman who strives to achieve her goal of entering high society by becoming 'queen' on the 100th floor penthouse in Gangnam. Following the huge success of the first season, the second season also reached over 30% viewership rating in Korea. And final third season began airing in June, it is positively expected that the final season will once again break previous seasons' records.

(The science of cooking) of EBS, has received Grand Remi Award at WorldFest Houston this year. Humans all around the world have enjoyed using various methods of cooking for countless generations. In fact, cooking is the result of human efforts toward extracting energy from nature. This program divides the foundation of cooking into the four elements of heat, force, Fermentation, and taste.
